Starting May 23, schools can add Gemini for Google Workspace to their existing Workspace for Education for users 18 and older through two add-ons.

Gemini Education is the base offering that helps schools get started with generative AI in Workspace, with a monthly usage limit.

Gemini Education Premium enhances Gemini Education with additional advanced features, such as AI-powered notes and summaries in Meet, and more.

This add-on also provides full use of generative AI tools in Workspace.

The integration of Gemini into Google Workspace for Education represents a significant step forward in the use of AI to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of teaching.
